The eleventh edition of SEMANTiCS brought together 283 researchers, practitioners and adopters of Semantic Technologies and Linked Data in Vienna. This is a growth in participation of 20%. This encourages us in the made re-orientation of the conference towards a transfer-oriented summit for the whole sector. The overall goal is to overcome the usual distinction between industry and research focused conference for the benefit of a transdisciplinary dialogue. This year success shows, that there is a demand for such an attractive offering within the related conference calendar.

So 64 speakers presented and discussed in 5 parallel panels the present and future of Semantics in production and e-commercePharma & Life SciencesPublic AdministrationMedia -Publishing & AdvertisingMetadata and Catalogs, ... Besides the talks and presentation the conference left room for networking and knowledge transfer. So the dedicated marketplace gave new insights into new products, where also poster presentations flashlights new developments presented in the posterpark. Workshops, social events and the pan-European MeetUp on the eve of the conference concludes a vital, vibrant and differentiated experience for the visitors.
